METHANE is an acronym used as a structured way to communicate critical information about an incident. It helps emergency responders provide concise, consistent, and clear updates when reporting an incident to a control centre or other teams.

These are the steps that organisations of all sizes should be going through to ensure that they are able to deal with emergencies. This could be for something as big as a national disaster, but it also works on a personal level to deal with things like leaking pipes, power cuts, broken boilers...

If you know what to do ahead of time it saves a lot of time (and money) when it really matters!!

The Joint Emergency Services Interoperability Principles (JESIP) is a framework established in the United Kingdom to enhance collaboration among emergency services—namely police, fire and rescue, and ambulance services—during major incidents. It aims to ensure that these services are trained and exercised to work together as effectively as possible at all levels of command in response to major or complex incidents.
